When thinking about what you want out of your garden its important that your garden can fit your needs, this could be child and pet friendly, entertaining guests, wildlife friendly or modern aesthetics. Professional designs mean that plants and materials are selected which will suit your theme, garden size and garden uses.
Types of Garden:
- Cottage Garden: traditionally has large borders full of colour and is an informal style with neutral paving and natural materials.
-Wildlife Gardens: growing in popularity wildlife gardens are designed to specifically create areas for pollinators and animals to make their home. Wildlife gardens can be made and cared for in a way so they don't look untidy like many people imagine. This is a more relaxed style, however being able to watch wildlife from your window is a special feeling. Key features of these gardens include: wild ponds and meadows, natural seating areas and winding paths.
- Mediterranean Gardens: inspired by southern European countries these gardens include plants such as Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender) and Salvia rosmarinus (Rosemary) as well as various grasses and gravel paths.
-Japanese Gardens: inspired by the gardens of Asia key components of these gardens include Acer palmatum, Prunus varieties, Azaleas, Rhododendrons, bamboos and fern varieties. Water features such as ponds and streams along with symbolic statues and natural rocks to create structure.
